| THE MAZE |
The giant “maize maze” is a living growing maze made from over 1 million maize plants, and it covers an area larger than 10 Wembley football pitches!! It is the largest maze in Britain, and one of the largest mazes in the world.
Take up Kernel Kernel's challenges to complete as you navigate through the giant maze. Solve his puzzles and there are prizes to be won!
Remember there is so much more than just the maze, so come on down and enjoy the Fun!!
 Maize is an annual plant, so each spring we plant the seeds, and create a new maze with a different theme, so our attraction changes every year, keeping visitors old and new entertained and baffled at the same time. Then after Halloween we harvest the plants and feed them to the cows on the farm over the cold winter months when there is no grass for them to eat.  This is why York Maze only opens for a part of the year, when the plants are ready. The maze is only part of a great day out at York Maze, there is so much to do, you’ll be “a-maized”

The Kernel invites you to enter his own little world where nothing is as it seems. Rooms magically begin to shrink, fall over and even turn upside down!

THE COBSTACLE COURSE |
 Kernel Kernel loves the Olympics, and has come up with his own sport involving his beloved maize plants……an obstacle course made from corn cobs, and of course he called it the “cobstacl e course”
Race your friends around, over and under the cobs as you battle to win the race, it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before!

| WATER WARS |
Water wars is a game of catapult skill, as you aim to hit the target on your opponents booth with your water bombs. You can play 1 on 1, or in groups, the choice is yours. If you score a direct hit, you will unleash the “depth charge” over your rivals, giving them a soaking they will never forget.
YOU WILL GET EXTREMELY WET ON WATER WARS.

| SAND AND WATER PLAY |
The kids can spend hours playing in our water play area, pumping water down the runnels, creating dams and making streams. The sand play is based on a building site and the kids can use cranes and pulleys to move sand around our giant sand pit. All within sight of the sunny café terrace, so parents can keep an eye on the younger ones as they play. |
| BALE MOUNTAIN |
Can you scale the heights of the giant bale pyramid? Once on top you can get a bird’s eye view of all the attractions on site. |

| THE MAZE OF ILLUSIONS |
You won’t believe your eyes in the maze of illusions! Within this mini maze are all sorts of mind bending puzzles and illusions. Mirrors that can make you manic, pictures that appear to move, illusions that will have you rubbing your eyes, and all within a maze!

| CRAZY MAZY GOLF |
Are you the next Tiger Woods? Why not test your golfing skills against our 9 hole crazy golf course, but it set amongst the maize plants for that added challenge!

| THE JUMPING PILLOW |
Jump for joy on this huge inflatable trampoline, the pillow is run in sessions for different sizes, so the little ones can bounce about safely, and the bigger folks can go crazy!

| THE COLOUR MAZE |
The younger kids can enjoy the fun of this small inflatable colour maze, each pod they enter glows with enchanting colours as they find their way around the maze.

| QUADS BIKES |
These coin operated quad bikes are fun for all ages, there is room for 2 to ride, so adults can ride on with the smaller kids. Race your friends and family around the twists and turns of our specially designed track.

| THE CLIMBING ZONE |
Older kids can enjoy the challenge of our fantastic timber climbing zone, walk the moving “balance beams” jump onto the pendulum swings.

| MAIZE FIELD FARM |
Come and meet the animals that eat the maize plants, and you can help with the feeding. The cows love to wrestle the maize plants from you, while the chickens prefer the Kernel’s kernels. There are goats, sheep, calves and pigs to meet too. While you are there, don’t miss the amazing racing pigs!

| PIG RACING |
Ready, steady, grunt……3 times a day we hold the famous “e-boar” race meeting. Choose your pig wisely and place your bets. Will it be “red runt” or the superb “desert porkid” that is on form??
You can buy a badge to support your pig. If fortune favours your pig, you will be invited to receive a winners medal in the “weaners” enclosure. Let’s hope you don’t leave feeling disgruntled!!

| THE FINGER FORTUNE MAZE |
| As you make your way around this mini maze you will find stations where you can colour the end of your finger. When you have found all five stations and coloured all your fingers you can return to the de coding board and see what it means, but watch out, you may find a forfeit awaits ! |
| THE CONTRUCTION ZONE |
 We all love to build with lego, so why not see what you can build with our giant building blocks?? Will it be a lunar base, or big ben? Watch out for those competitive Dads though, the kids can’t get a look in! |
| THE INFLATABLE SLIDE |
The smaller Kids will love our big bouncy slide. |
| REMOTE CONTROL BOATS |
Take a power cruiser for a spin round the lake, but watch out for the lighthouse, there may be rocks nearby! (coin operated)

 The kids can get involved in painting on our giant maze murals, colour in corn cobs, cows and tractors and we will clean up the mess! |

The Ivy store is our beautiful and unique gift shop, set in an old dairy building on the farm. With a great range of maze related goodies to remind you of an amazing day out, the Ivy store also sells gifts, garden ornaments, toys, and much more besides. Come in and have a look around, you’ll be amazed!!

| THE “YORKSHIRE DRAGON” BBQ |
York maze believes in using great local producers, to provide fantastic flame grilled foods at a great price! Unlike many other attractions we take real pride in our food, and aim to give you the freshest, tastiest food we can. The “Yorkshire dragon” sells a wide range of flame grilled foods, specialising in burgers made to our own recipe by a local butchers, along with prime, locally sourced bangers of course.

Our coffee shop is a great place to take a rest from all the action and have a treat. As well as all your favourite fresh coffees, we sell a wide range of homemade sandwiches, from kids favourites to daily gourmet specials. There are cakes and treats galore, fresh smoothies and milkshakes too!

Half way around the maze you will find corn central, a small open air café, selling hot and cold drinks, and all your favourite ice creams of course. There are fun activities here to get involved in while you take a rest: mural painting, remote control boats and the finger fortune maze are all here.
