York Maze Opens!
York Maze is open for the 2010 season.
Be first to solve this year’s a-mazing design.
Saturday 24th July:
Naked Maze Night (7.30pm – dusk)
Get naked and get lost at this special naturist evening. Event held in association with British Naturism. Normal admission charges apply.
Campers welcome overnight. Clothes back on by 9am please.
Sunday 1st August:
Yorkshire Day
Take part in the Great York Maze ‘Straw Bale Race’.
How fast can you cover the 100 metre sprint whilst pushing a round bale?
Team and individual prizes.
Saturday 7th August:
Sweetcorn Festival & World Sweetcorn Eating Championships
A day of events to celebrate the wonderful plants the maze is made from, with live music and sweetcorn BBQ. Watch the excitement of the World Sweetcorn Eating Championships, or join in yourself. Could you be the one to set a new world record and walk away with a cash prize?
Saturday 14th August:
Fundraising Day
York Maze will be teaming up with local charities to help raise valuble funds to help in their work. Join in the fun and games on the day with stalls and activities that will raise some much needed cash, while you have fun!
Saturday 21st August:
Beach Party & Barbeque
No need to spend the day stuck in traffic trying to get to the coast, chill out at York Maze’s very own beach – the giant sand play area. Join the York Maze beach party with a surf simulator, limbo dancing, music and barbeque.
Cool off in “water wars” where everyone can get a soaking!
Saturday 28th August:
Torchlight Maze
For a completely different maze experience, try it in the dark!
We will stay open right through until 10pm, BBQ and café open all night. Don't forget your torch! BBQ, cafe and bar open all night.
Saturday 4th September:
Canine Capers at York Maze
Displays of dog agility, obedience and fly ball racing.
Bring your dog along and give it a try!
Sunday 5th September:
York Maze Closes
The last day of the 2010 season.
Saturday 23rd October to 31st October:
Halloween 'By Day' at York Maze
Open for October half term.
The giant maize maze has been harvested but we have a host of Halloween activities for young sprites and gouls.

Hallowscream 'By Night' at York Maze - Four Nights Only
28th - 31st October.
Journey to the dark side for a terrifyingly entertaining night to remember. Teenagers & adults looking for bigger scares should check out the 'Hallowscream' nights for some fearful fun!

Friday 5th November - 4pm til 10.30pm:
Firework Spectacular
Giant bonfire, fire eating & Pyrojuggling show, spectacular fireworks choreographed to music featuring hit songs chosen by Minster FM listeners.

Plus children’s play area, jumping pillow, live music from ‘HUGE’ in the barns, food stalls, bar and
The Ivy Store Christmas shop.

Directions:
If you take the A64 to York and exit at the Grimston Bar roundabout (Hull A1079 and Bridlington) take the exit for Hull then turn immediately right on the B1228 towards Elvington and the Air Museum. Follow the road through a series of bends until you come onto a long straight. About half a mile down the straight on the right is a large cream house, turn in right about 50 yards past it and you have arrived!
