York Maze is open for the 2008 season. Be first to solve this year’s a-mazing design.
Saturday 26 July:
Naked Maze Night (7.30pm – dusk)
Get naked and get lost at this special naturist evening.
Event held in association with British Naturism. Normal admission charges apply.
Friday 1 August:
Yorkshire Day
Take part in the Great York Maze ‘Straw Bale Race’.
How fast can you cover the 100m sprint whilst pushing a round bale? Team and individual prizes.
Sunday 10 August:
World Sweetcorn Eating Championships & Festival
A day of events to celebrate the wonderful plants the maze is made from! Come and take on the World Sweetcorn Eating Champion – Crazy Legs Conti as he tries to break his own world record. Large cash prizes! Including live music and sweetcorn BBQ.
Sunday 17 August:
The Air-maze-ing Paper Aeroplane Competition
Due to the lack of the Yorkshire airshow this year we will be hosting our own version ! Build your own paper aeroplane and fly it in our endurance competition. Prizes for the furthest distance covered.
Saturday 23 August:
Beach Party & Barbeque
No need to spend the day stuck in traffic trying to get to the coast, chill out at York Maze’s very own beach – the giant sand play area. Join the York Maze beach party with a surf simulator, limbo dancing, music and barbeque.
Cool off in “water wars” where everyone can get a soaking !
Friday 29 & Saturday 30 August:
Torchlight Maze & Hog Roast (8pm – 10.30pm)
For a completely different maze experience try it in the dark!
A fun family evening with refreshments available. Don’t forget your torch! Normal admission charges apply.

Friday 5 & Saturday 6 September:
The Haunted Horror Maze (8pm – 10.30pm)
Are you brave enough to enter the maze at night when ghouls and ghosts roam the pathways? Gates open at 8.00pm and close at 10.30pm. No need to book. Not recommended for children under 12 years. Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. Admission to this event is £10 adults and children. BBQ and café open.

Canine Capers
See displays of dog agility, obedience and fly ball racing.
Bring your own dog and try your hand too!

Directions:
If you take the A64 to York and exit at the Grimston Bar roundabout (Hull A1079 and Bridlington) take the exit for Hull then turn immediately right on the B1228 towards Elvington and the Air Museum. Follow the road through a series of bends until you come onto a long straight. About half a mile down the straight on the right is a large cream house, turn in right about 50 yards past it and you have arrived!
