York Maze is a seasonal visitor attraction, based around a growing crop of maize plants. But we are MUCH more than just a maze and we have more than 20 different rides, and attractions for families to enjoy. Our 2024 summer season runs from July 13th to September 2nd, with staff training the week before we open to the public July 8th - 12th.

You guys will be one of the most important parts of our visitor's day with us. If you can give them a great experience, along with a big smile, you will make their special day even more memorable!!

ENTERTAINMENTS TEAM

Here at York Maze we are mighty proud of our live-entertainments programme, providing a variety of different shows and experiences for our visitors.

While we pride ourselves in having ‘aMAZEing’ staff right across our site… fabulously funny and friendly folk are especially prevalent in our entertainments team. The performance-positions we have available are a perfect opportunity for all you outgoing ‘showbiz’ bunch out there!

Our shows are proudly rooted in CORNY-comedy, and are hugely high-energy and interactive. We aim for them to bring genuine joy to kids from 4 - 104, so require really engaging personalities on the stage to make them work! Applicants for these roles would be required to perform both as themselves and 'in character', and must be comfortable working / dancing in various 'mascot' costumes too.

Entertainments Team Pay Rates (including holiday pay) are:

• £9.50/hr - 16 & 17 yrs
• £12.00/hr - 18 to 20 yrs  
• £14.00/hr - 21 yrs & over

The minimum age for working at York Maze is 16.

A lot of staff return each summer, it really is that great to work at York Maze, and we reward returners with an extra £1 per hour pay.

There is no public transport to York Maze, so you will need to be able to get here (it’s a 20 min cycle ride from Uni campus).
